It is with great pride and genuine pleasure that I welcome you to Merryland — a school community where excellence is not merely aspired to, but actively lived. As the newest member of the Merryland family, I am honoured to join you on this exciting journey.
Education, in my view, is far more than the acquisition of knowledge. It is about shaping character, nurturing curiosity, and fostering a lifelong love of learning. A school is not simply a building; it is a place where aspirations are nurtured, identities are formed, and futures are forged.
My own journey began at the Faculty of Arts, English Department, and led me to the British Council in Egypt, where I spent 29 enriching years progressing to senior leadership. This experience deepened my understanding of the British education system and global standards, and instilled in me a profound commitment to educational excellence.
Following this, I served as Principal of the British Division at a leading international school in Cairo for over a decade. Together with a dedicated team, we cultivated a warm, inclusive environment where pupils thrived and staff flourished. Under my leadership, the school expanded to a second campus — a testament to our shared vision and values.
Since then, I have held leadership roles across several international schools, advised newly established institutions, and served as CEO. In 2021, I embraced a new challenge as an educational consultant within the Ministry of Education, working to raise standards across national and international schools.
Now, at Merryland, I am delighted to help shape a beacon of learning — a place where values are strong, learning is joyful, and dreams are realised. With your support and partnership, I am confident we will build something truly remarkable.
